Columbia PIctures Original U.S. One Sheet poster (22x28), rolled, for the last film of David Lean, A PASSAGE TO INDIA (1984) starring Judy Davis, Dame Peggy Ashcroft, James Fox, Alec Guinness, Nigel Havers, Victor Banerjee. Many of the signature elements of a David Lean film are here, but with this film he also wrote the screenplay, based on the famous novel by E.M. Forster. The film was much honored. It concerns a group of travelers who go to India to take in the sights and encounter as well the racial bias and injustice that accompanied The Raj. With a wonderful music score by Maurice Jarre, the film invites repeated viewings, as so many of the David Lean films do. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. half sheet for this film.
