Original U.S. Scene Lobby Card (11x14) Very Fine Condition

Gothic Pictures Orginal U.S. Lobby Card for the Roy William Neill silent film VANITY'S PRICE (1924). The film stars Anna Q. Nilsson, Stuart Holmes, Wyndham Standing and Arthur Rankin. Nilsson, a beautiful blonde, was born in Ystad, Sweden in 1888. She emigrated to the United States in 1905. Nilsson was one of the first actresses in Hoillywood to acheive widespread fame. She appeared in 123 feature films, and first appeared in WOLFE, OR, THE CONQUEST OF QUEBEC (1914). By the mid twenties she was very well known and had won multiple awards from Photoplay magazine, which awarded "Best Performances" monthly. The story and screenplay for VANITY'S PRICE was written by Paul Bern, who is mostly remembered today as the husband of Jean Harlow who committed suicide in 1932. The plot is mostly a potboiler, but we can rest assured that the statuesque Scandinavian Nilsson looked great. At the end of her career she appeared uncredited in many films, but appeared as herself, one of Gloria Swanson's bridge players in SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950). Nilsson died in 1974. This card is in very fine plus condition, and MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees the card to be authentic.
