Wayne plays drunken, hard-nosed U.S. Marshall Rooster Cogburn, who teams up with a young Texas Ranger (Campbell) to help a stubborn, young woman (Darby) track down the murderer of her father. John Wayne received both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor; however, many critics considered these awards to be more a recognition of his 40-year career than his performance in this film. Glen Campbell received the Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer. This original Italian poster is folded and in fine condition.
