This is a rare six sheet poster for the Sidney Pollack movie THEY SHOOT HORSES DON'T THEY? One of the really interesting films of the "new cinema" of the early seventies, the movie follows several characters participating in a dance marathon in the depression era 1930s. A great cast, a wonderful performance by Jane Fonda, and superb direction by Pollack make this one of the must see movies from that fertile time. The poster has no cast information on it, just the graphic and the title, treating the design much like an advance. Word of mouth on the film was brisk, so this design was appropriate for the film.
