The film stars Deborah Kerr, John Kerr, Leif Erickson, Dean Jones, Norma Crane, Darryl Hickman and Don Burnett. The film revolves around a new senior at a Prep School, a young man who is different from the sports-enthused, girl-watching guys who are his classmates. There's something else going on here. But what that is is not really allowed on the screen in 1956. The queer issues in the play are very cloistered in this movie, but it is undeniable that this movie is securely in the LGBTQ canon.
