Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Richard Lester and Richard Donner science fiction fantasy, SUPERMAN II (1981) starring Gene Hackman, Christopher reeve, and Margot Kidder. In this sequel, Superman agrees to give up his superhero powers in order to marry Lois, unaware that three Krytonian criminals he inadvertently released are trying to conquer Earth. To make matters worse, SupermanÕs arch enemy Lex Luthor (Hackman) escapes form prison and is determined to destroy Superman by joining forces with the three criminals. The producers fired original director Donner from the project, and the new director Lester scraped most of the original footage in order to create a style more evocative of the comic-book superhero. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition. The poster was used in a theater in Canada and it has a Province of Quebec censor stamp on it.
