Super Fly is a cocaine dealer whose going to make the one last big deal before he leaves the street for the good life. But fate has other things in store for him. This movie is one of the best and certainly one of the most well-known of the blacksploitation movies of the early 1970s. Deftly directed by Parks, and blessed with a memorable, Grammy-winning score by Curtis Mayfield, the movie was added to the National Film Registry in 2022. Another star of the movie is the '72 Cadillac Eldorado owned by K.C. a real-life pimp who got a part in the movie in exchange for the use of his car! At the film's 40th-anniversary screening, held at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, NY, K.C. revealed that his customized Cadillac was eventually seized by the IRS.
