You would think that this picture would pander, pander, pander, but it is actually a somewhat intellectualized telling of the bible story of Lot and his wife settling in sin city. The cast is largely European, but the film does have a score by Miklos Rosza, the last of his scores for these kinds of films, so it earns its epic bona-fides. The film cost of four million buck to make and earned back only 2.5 million. One of the odd placementas in the Epic canon.
