Original Polish Poster (27x38) for the Boislav Punchev war drama, SALVATION (1984) [Original Bulgarian Title: SPASENIETO] starring Kosta Tsonev, Nevena Kokanova, and Jan Nowicki. The is based on a novel by Serafim Severnyak which is based on real events that took place in the Bulgarian town of Ohrid near the end of World War II. The Germans bring back a group of Bulgarian prisoners of war, who escape and blend in with the townspeople once given civilian clothes. The Germans issue a series of ultimatums to force the townspeople to reveal the identities of the prisoners. With artwork by Witold Dybowski, this original Polish poster is unfolded and in very fine condition.
