British Front-of-House Set 16 8x10 Original Cards Very Fine Condition

Original MGM British Front-of-House set of 8x10 cards for David Lean's epic tale of romance and betrayal, RYAN'S DAUGHTER (1970) starring Robert Mitchum, Trevor Howard, John Mills, Trevor Howard, Christopher Jones and Sarah Miles. Set in the wake of the 1916 Easter Rising, mounted by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland, the film tells the story of a married woman (Miles) who has an affair with a troubled British officer. The film was somewhat of a critical disappointment when it appeared and characterized as "too slow," but its reputation has grown favorably over the years. They don't make them like this anymore, with a fabulous score by Maurice Jarre, beautiful 70mm cinematography, and a wonderful screenplay by John Bolt. This original set of cards is unusual because there are sixteen cards in the full set, all in very fine condition.
