Original RKO Stone Lithograph One-Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Luther Reed western musical romance, RIO RITA (1929) starring Bebe Daniels, John Boles, Bert Wheeler, and Robert Woolsey. This original Broadway musical opened at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York on February 2, 1927 and ran for 494 performances. This was one of the few examples in which a Ziegfeld musical from the 1920's was adapted to film virtually unchanged. Bebe Daniels had been a popular silent star for years, but nobody had ever heard her sing (or even talk) until this film. She was a smash hit with audiences everywhere.
