Embassy Pictures One-Sheet Poster for the Spencer Gordon-Bennet directed western film REQUIEM FOR A GUNFIGHTER (1965). The films stars Rod Cameron, Stephen McNally, Rand Brooks, Olive Sturgess and Mike Mazurki. In addition to these actors, three veteran western superstars, Tim McCoy, Bob Steele and Johnny Mack Brown were brought in for cameos. The role of the gunfighter was played by Dick Jones. Jones was an interesting figure with a long career in film. He was the voice of Pinocchio in the 1940 Disney film. REQUIEM FOR A GUNFIGHTER was his last movie. He died in 2014 at the age of 87. Embassy was not known for western movies. This was the kind of thing that one might have expected from Universal in 1965. The poster has a certain modernist edge.
