Orion Pictures Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the action film REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS (1985). The film is directed by Guy Hamilton and stars Fred Ward, Joel Grey, Kate Mulgrew, J.A. Preston and Wilford Brimley. Based on a series of pulp novels, the movie was intended to be the first of a series of films using the characters in the books. But that was not to be as audiences stayed away. Part cop movie, part Bond, part fantasy, the verdict was it was too much of everything and not enough chemistry. The film was produced by Dick Clark. We see Remo hanging onto the Statue of Libery, one of the chief locations for the film.
