United Artists Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the Sidney Salkow directed pirate adventure film RAIDERS OF THE SEVEN SEAS (1953). This technicolor film was released in May of 1953. The cinematographer who had photographed THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (1938) was hired to shoot this film, in hopes of giving an extra bit of swash and buckle. Global Films produced the movie, and filmed it in Hollywood at the Samuel Goldwyn studios. Payne was his usual handsome self. Donna Reed would win an Oscar for her role in FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, made in the same year as this film. This poster was used in a theater, and should be regarded to be in average used condition.
