Original Polish Poster (27x39) for the Jaean-Jacques Annaud prehistoric adventure, QUEST FOR FIRE (1981) starring Everett McGill, Ron Perlman, Nicholas Kadi, and Rae Dawn Chong. This French classic chronicles a peaceful tribe of prehistoric humans, who are unable to create fire on their own and who loose their only source of flame after the attack of a rival tribe. Three members of the tribe then set out on a harrowing adventure in search of a new source of fire. Anthony Burgess, author of the novel A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, created the language used by the cavemen, which comprises all the spoken dialogue. The film won the Academy Award for Best Makeup; indeed, most of the actors went through makeup sessions that lasted five hours each morning. This original Polish poster with artwork by Zdzislaw Walicki is in very fine condition.
