Universal Pictures Original One-Sheet Poster (27x41), folded, for the movie PSYCHO II, starring Anthony Perkins as the returned Norman Bates. Perhaps no movie in film history deserved a sequel less than Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO (1960), but it got one anyway. The poster is nice, with an eerie color photo of the Bates' Arizona mansion. In fact, the one sheet poster was changed at the last minute when the decision to use the image on a Christmas card that was sent to cast and crew instead of the one-sheet that had been proposed. We see Anthony Perkins standing in front of the Bates' home and the tagline reads "It's 22 years later and Norman Bates is coming home". The film made money and is regarded as a curious footnote to the monstrous film of Hitch's. Look for Vera Miles, who is brought back from the first one. The movie was directed by Richard Franklin.
