Description
Original U.S. Three-Sheet Poster (41x81) Folded Theater-Used Large Three-Sheet
United Artists Original U.S. Three-Sheet Poster for the Frank Capra holiday dramedy POCKETFUL OF MIRACLES (1961). The film stars Glenn Ford, Hope Lange, Bette Davis, Peter Falk, Arthur O'Connell, Edward Everett Horton, Mickey Shaughnessy, and Jay Novello. This was Capra's remake of an earlier film of his LADY FOR A DAY. The plot centers around an old lady who sells apples on the streets of New York. She's poor, but supports her daughter who lives in style in England. The daughter thinks that mom is some kind of Grande Dame. But when the plans to visit New York to see her mother, the lie is threatened to be seen. To Davis' rescue comes a small time ganster (Ford) and a host of his picaresque pals. The earlier film was set contemporaneously in the 1930s, but so is this remake. It seems that Capra did not want to get away from that special place in time that made this kind of movie make sense. There was a song over the main titles sung by.. who else? .. Sinatra. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees that this three-sheet poster is authentic.
