RKO Pictures Original Title Lobby Card for the Frank Woodruff directed comedy PLAY GIRL (1941) starring Kay Francis, James Ellison, Nigel Bruce, Katherine Alexander, Margaret Hamilton and Mildred Coles. Kay Francis is an aging golddigger anxious to instruct her young protogee in the hows and whys. Francis was a very big star in the thirties and forties, somehow mostly overlooked for membership in pantheon of actresses from the period. But she was very successful at Warner Bros, where she was there number one female player in the early thirties. Kay Francis died in 1968.
