He believes in treating his patients as well as their diseases. This gets him into some considerable trouble with his colleagues at the clinic. Add a bit of love interest in the person of the lovely Jeanne Crain and you have this sparkling witty comedy. The movie was based on a German play by Curt Goetz, "Dr. Praetorius."
