Republic PIctures Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41), linen backed and in fine condition, for the Carl Pierson directed B-western film THE NEW FRONTIER (1935). The film stars Wayne, Muriel Evans, Warner Richmond, Al Bridge and Murdock MacQuarrie. Wayne had a long and storied career playing mostly heroic but sometimes conflicted characters. Certainly he is one of a select group of actors whose fanbase continued to grow even after his death in 1979. Many movie buffs think they know John Wayne, but anyone who is interested in him would do well to read Scott Eyman's 2014 biography "John Wayne: The Life and the Legend". On this poster we see a young and beautiful Wayne, a happy countenance in his first flush of success. The poster had some repairs to the fold lines and some minimal separations at the fold lines.
