Lombard, one of the truly bright lights of the era plays a rich socialite living the life in Manhattan in the middle of the Great Depression. A party game she is playing with her ditzy friends directs her to the city dump where she meets a derelict, played by the impeccable William Powell, who she impulsively hires to be the family butler. The derelict is Godfrey, and it is soon apparent that there is more to Godfrey than one might at first imagine. In fact, Lombard soon finds she is attracted to him. The fun that ensues is classic, and that is why the film is still treasured after seventy plus years. The window card that we offer is in truly beautiful condition.
