Original National Telefilm Associates 1957 Re-Release One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Fred Zinnemann drama, BATTLE STRIPE (1950) starring Marlon Brando, Teresa Wright, Everett Sloane, and Jack Webb. Original released under the title THE MEN, Carl Foreman received the only Oscar nomination of this film for Best Screenplay for his story about a paralyzed war veteran who tries to adjust to the world without the use of his legs. Daring for its time, this film delivers exceptional emotional involvement with all its characters. This was the screen debut for Brando, and he spent a month living as a patient in a veteranÕs paraplegic hospital before the shoot and remained in a wheelchair on and off the set during the duration of the shoot. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition, with some minor holes and fold distresses.
