Paramount Pictures Original U.S. Half Sheet Poster Style B Fine Plus to Very Fine Condition
Original Paramount Pictures Half-Sheet Poster (22x28), style B, for the Alfred Hitchcock mystery thriller, THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1956) starring James Stewart, Doris Day, Brenda De Banzie, and Bernard Miles. Hitchcock had already filmed this story in the U.K in 1934. But this time it would be in color and widescreen. It tells the story of a family vacationing in Morocco who accidentally stumble onto an assassination plot. Furthermore, the conspirators are determined to prevent the family from interfering with their plot. The only Oscar the film won was for the Best Original Song, "Que Sera, Sera" which was sung by Doris Day. Day, who at first refused to record the song, dismissing it as "a forgettable children's song", finally relented for the studio. And the version she recorded for Columbia Records became the biggest hit of her recording career, arguably her signature song. This original half-sheet poster is style B. It was used in a theater and shows some modest signs of light wear. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. poster for this film. MovieArt Austin will sell no reproductions.
