MGM Original U.S. Three Sheet Poster (41x81) Folded Theater Used Average Used Condition
MGM Original U.S. Three-sheet poster for the Roy DelRuth directed comedy MAISIE GETS HER MAN (1942). The film stars Ann Sothern, as the beloved Brooklyn showgirl Maisie Ravier. In 1942, the U.S. was in need of some cheer and the wonderful Ann Sothern knew just how to provide it. MAISIE (1939) was intended as a stand alone film, just another movie in MGM's factory output. But audiences loved the irrepressible Sothern as this spunky character that MGM would go on to make ten films, through 1947, with Sothern reprising the role. Here she is paired with another of MGM's comic stars, Red Skelton. This poster was used in a theater, and shows signs of general wear and use. We recommend linen-backing for it. Ask us about poster conservation services. This poster is a stone litho, and we think it is one of the best images of Sothern as Maisie on a three-sheet. Three-sheets are large format posters, generally printed on two panels, which are joined together to present as one large poster. This is a big poster! MovieArt Austin guarantees this poster to be a vintage, authentic, U.S. poster for this film. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
