Original 8-page German Program (8x11) for the Henri de la Falaise adventure romance, LEGONG: DANCE OF THE VIRGINS (1935) starring Poetoe Aloes Goesti, Bagus Mara Goesti, Saplak Njoman, and Njong Njong Njoman. Poutou, a nubile maiden who dances at the temple, lives with her jovial father and lovely younger sister. Poutou falls in love with Nyong, a musician new to the village. He seems to return her affections, so a marriage is arranged, except that Nyong is really in love with her younger sister. Filmed in Bali with Balinese actors and shot in duo-tone 2-strip Technicolor, the film was quite an exotic sensation when it was released. This original German program is in very fine plus condition.
