Original Paramount Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Joseph Losey film noir, THE LAWLESS (1950) starring Macdonald Carey, Gail Russell, and Johnny Sands. Carey portrays a former big city newsman who moves to become the editor of a small-town newspaper. He gets involved, however, in trying to protect the rights of a young Latino farm worker against racist whites in the town. This was the last Hollywood film to be directed by Joseph Losey, who was blacklisted in 1951 for his "communist sympathies" and fled to Europe.
