Original Paramount Pictures U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the Walter Grauman directed sadistic horror film LADY IN A CAGE (1964) starring Olivia DeHavilland, Ann Sothern and James Caan. This was one of the first times that audiences had seen James Caan. He locks up DeHavilland and won't let her out, and it's a real game of cat and mouse. But the mouse turns out to have some nerve. It was a period when several of the great leading ladies of the thirties and forties - Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, Joan Crawford and DeHavilland among others were finding work in these drive-in horror flicks and other oddities, the most famous of which was undoubtedly WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? (1962). It was cruel, yes, but these actresses often acquitted themselves with good performances. This poster was used in a theater and shows some damage. We have graded it in fair condition.
