The serial starred Tristram Coffin, Mae Clarke, Don Haggerty, House Peters, Jr., and I. Stanford Jolley. Directed by Fred C. Bannon, this 12-chapter serial is one of the most lively of the Republic sci-fi outings. The art on the re-release poster is a bit modernized from the art on the original 1949 sheets, with an illustrative approach closer to the cover art seen on pulp paperbacks from the fifties. (From this design, one can easily deduce where the idea for the ROCKETEER one sheet came.) With his cool steel helmet, his arms outstretched, and his jetpacks firing, this guy is going somewhere.
