Embassy Pictures Half Sheet Poster 22x28 Fine Plus Condition
Embassy Pictures Original U.S. Half-Sheet Poster (22x28) for the Emil Nofal directed country music film KIMBERLEY JIM (1965). Oddly, the only film featuring renowned country star Jim Reeves, a man who symbolizes the Nashville sound to this day, was set and shot in the diamond mines of South Africa. But Jim Reeves was an international name in the early sixties after his smash radio hit "He'll Have to Go", and he was attempting to take full advantage of this worldly success. A comedy concert movie featuring the stock 'get rich quick scheme' and 'silly sidekick', KIMBERLEY JIM has lots of hidden gems for fans of country music and concert cinema alike. He had more films and TV appearances planned, but Reeves was yet another impactful musician that perished in a plane crash, making KIMBERLEY JIM a valuable snapshot of the Opry star before the tragedy. While this poster was used in a theater, it is rolled and in fine plus condition. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees that this poster is an authentic, vintage poster from this film. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
