Original Italian Pre-War Poster on Linen. The Italian distributor was Grandi Film S.A. (SANGRAF.) The film is a British film titled KICKING THE MOON AROUND (1938). The film stars Evelyn Dall as a pretty blonde with a golden voice.. Bert Ambrose is a callow young millionaire looking for a girl who will really love him, not for his millions, but, you know, just for him. Is Ms. Dall that or is the golddigging girl he's dating the one? This is a snappy little comedy intending to amuse pre-war Britons. What is extraordinary here is this beautiful stone lithograph with art by Anselmo Ballester. The moon in the title is playing the sax. This is really one of the most fetching pre-war Italian posters that we have seen. The poster shows some signs of use and very modest touch-up. Colors are vivid and the poster is linen-backed. This is a large poster measuring 79x55 inches. Very rare indeed.
