Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster for the comedy KANSAS CITY KITTY (1944) starring Joan Davis. Davis became better known on TV in the fifties for portraying the knockabout wife of Jim Backus in the sitcom I MARRIED JOAN. She plays the same type of character here, but the film is leavened with some swing music. Also the wonderful Jane Frazee. Look for Bing's brother Bob Crosby (the Vice President in Charge of Crooning) and his band. Also look for Andy Williams (yes, that Andy Williams) who was singing with his brothers in their first act. All this was directed by Del Lord, a Columbia studio director more famous for directing all those Three Stooges shorts.
