Marton was one of the greatest second unit directors ever, and he worked on many of the roadshow epic films. Around the time he finished this film, he would be working in Rome on CLEOPATRA (1963). Here he was marshalling the talent (and she WAS talented) of Jayne Mansfield. The movie has been largely forgotten, but it was part and parcel of Fox trying to make Mansfield into another Monroe.
