In this prequel to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981), Jones (Ford) is asked by a desperate village in India to find a mystical stone that has been stolen. Along for the ride are Capshaw who plays an American singer and a Chinese sidekick (Quan). On their way to finding the stone, they stumble across a palace that leads to the gateway of the Temple of Doom run by the evil Thugge cult. This film led to the creation of the PG-13 rating in 1984, because the film features violence that many people thought was too strong for the old PG rating. This one of two teaser or advance-style one sheets for the film. The poster advertises the film to open on May 23, 1984. The tagline "Trust Him" is seen in the upper right area.
