The original German title is IM STAHINETZ DES DR. MABUSE. The movie was release in the U.S. in 1966-1967 because one of the actors, Gert Frobe, had become very well known for the role of Auric Goldfinger in the James Bond movie. Frobe began to appear in several American movies. The movie is directed by Harald Reinl. Appearing in the film was American actor Lex Barker - the first film he made in Germany.
