Original United Artists Three Sheet Poster (41x79.5) for the Richard Lester BeatleFest, HELP! (1965) starring The Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The wacky plot of this film, little more than an excuse to deliver (now classic) Beatles songs, revolves around a religious cult, who needs to retrieve a sacrificial ring, which Ringo cannot get off his finger. This James Bondish spy spoof did not reveal the Fab Four to be great comedic actors, but the film did provide a showcase for some wonderful Beatles' songs. While their earlier film, A HARD DAY'S NIGHT (1964) focused on their hits, this film is more concerned with their musical harmonies and virtuosity. This three sheet is a large format poster printed on two separate panels which are joined together to display as one poster. The condition is very good plus to fine. Here is an opportunity to acquire this poster for an attractive price. There is a bit of writing on the reverse side of the poster, but which does not bleed through to the front. Also, some minor pinholes and minor tape stains which could remove rather easily. This poster would restore beautifully. We recommend linen-backing for the poster, although it is not essential.
