Original Compass International One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the John Carpenter iconic horror thriller, HALLOWEEN (1978) starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasence, Nancy Kyes, and P.J. Soles. Voted one of the scariest movies of all time by Entertainment Weekly, it was shot in 21 days in April of 1978. Made on a shoestring budget of $320,000 ,it became the highest grossing independent film ever made at the time. There was no budget for costumes; so, the actors had to wear their own clothes. When none of the major studios wanted to distribute the film, executive producer Irwin Yablans decided to distribute the film via his own company, Compass International. This original one sheet poster was originally folded, and theater-used, showing some very light signs of use. Really a very nice example.
