Two icons, one from the world of film and one from the world of country music, squared off in this movie, supported by a stellar cast that included Robert J. Wilke, Raf Vallone, Jane Alexander, Karen Black, Dana Elcar and Keith Carradine. It's an odd film, in a way, the story of two nearly washed-up gunfighters in need of money, who agree to stage a gunfight to return one of them to solvency. The film was financed by the Jicarilla Apache tribe, although there are no leading Native American characters in the story.
