MGM Original U.S. Six-Sheet Poster (81x81) for the romantic comedy GROUNDS FOR MARRIAGE (1951). The film stars Kathryn Grayson and Van Johnson. An opera singer, naturally Grayson, tries to win back her ex-husband. It's a comedy, and you can understand that because it doesn't happen that often that either partner wants their ex back. But in this case Grayson is looking very fetching in her PJs and his house-slippers. Arch-typical of the MGM "look" for posters in the 1950s. This poster was probably never used in a theater and is in very fine condition. Directed by Robert Z. Leonard. Musically, there's a little bit of this and a little bit of that including Rimsky-Korsavov, David Raksin, Bizet, and even a performance of Tiger Rag.
