Gideon (La Rocque), heir to a family business, travels to Paris to try to stop his youth-obsessed mother (Dresser) from squandering the family fortune with her new husband who has only married her for her money. Distinguishing himself in World War I, he returns to find his dying mother ruined and deserted.
