Paramount Pictures Original Three-Sheet Poster (41x81), folded, for the Frank Tashlin movie THE GEISHA BOY (1958) starring Jerry Lewis, Suzanne Pleshette, Sessue Hayakawa and Marie McDonald. Lewis brings his antics and his personal to post war Japan. Tashlin, who always found a way to elicit the best from Lewis, handles the comedy and the sentiment equally well. This is the debut film of Pleshette, who would later become Bob Newhart's wife on TV. Also look for Japanese superstar Hayakawa, fresh from making THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI. This was one of many films which would mine the gold of postwar Japanese-U.S. relations. It was a heady cultual mix. This poster is in average used condition. Color is vivid, but there are signs of general wear. Also, this is a large format poster. Three sheets are printed on two panels which are joined together to make one poster.
