Original Twentieth Century Fox U.S. Three-sheet poster (41x81) for the Lloyd Bacon directed naval military film, THE FROGMEN (1951). Richard Widmark stars as a tough and unloved commander of Navy Frogmen in this World War II era drama made in the early fifites. The picture reads like a laundry list of 20th Century Fox contract players of that time - Widmark, Dana Andrews, Gary Merrill, Jeffrey Hunter, Robert Wagner and others. The film is loaded with lots of action and good underwater photography of military maneuvers against Japanese submarines. This poster is one of the best images (prior to THUNDERBALL!) of frogmen on any film poster. This three sheet was possibly never used in a theater, never assembled and is in fine condition. Colors are vivid. Some minor distresses, but overall quite good.
