Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41). Folded. Fine Plus Condition
Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Douglas Hickox music short subject, FOUR HITS AND A MISTER (1962) starring Mr. Acker Bilk and Boscoe Holder. This 14 minute color short subject was produced by Parkside Productions and was distributed by Universal Pictures in the United States. The short was released on New Years Eve, 1962. Mr. Acker Bilk was a clarinetist whose recording of his single "Stranger on the Shore" became the first British recorded single to top the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States ini May of 1962. So, before the Beatles, there was Acker Bilk! It's safe to say that this is the best, maybe the only, film poster of this famous instrumentalist. And while we have never seen this short film, it's probably a good bet that "Stranger on the Shore" was performed in the film. This poster was used in a theater, and we have graded it in fine plus condition. It may also be considered to be in average used condition. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. one-sheet poster for this film. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
