Original Peppercorn-Wormser One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Murray Lerner music documentary, FESTIVAL (1967) starring most of great folk acts of the early 60s including Joan Baez, Theodore Bikel, Johnny Cash, Judy Collins, Donovan, Bob Dylan, Richard and Mimi Farina, Odetta, Pete Seeger, and of course Peter, Paul, and Mary. This wonderful documentary film is a compilation of performances, interviews, and conversations at the Newport Folk Festival from 1963-1966. And alongside the performances is also a running commentary about the nature and appeal of folk music. A wonderful artifact of the urban folk revival of the 1960s. This poster is a folded one sheet in fine plus condition. There is some wear on border, and it's apparent that this was probably a theater-used poster. The color is vivid and the general condition of the printed area is very fine. We think that this poster would linen-back very successfully if that is desired.
