Orginal 35mm release one-sheet poster for the John Schlesinger directed film FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD (1967) starring Julie Christie, Alan Bates and Terrence Stamp. The film was originally released in 1967 is a 70mm roadshow engagement with reserved seats. This poster dates from 1968 and was used for the larger general release in 35mm. Julie Christie had been lifted in the public's eye by her startling appearances in DARLING (1965) and in DOCTOR ZHIVAGO (1964), and thus she was tapped to play the strong heroine in Thomas Hardy's story. The poster was theater-used and should be regarded in very good, theater-used condition. The poster is folded, but slightly irregularly. Would linen back beautifully.
