Original Universal Pictures 1942 Re-Release Double Bill Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for Arthur Lubin mystery, BIG TOWN CZAR (1939) starring Barton MacLane, Tom Brown, Eve Arden, and Jack La Rue. Also on the double bill is the Roy William Neil crime drama, EYES OF THE UNDERWORLD (1942) starring Richard Dix, Wendy Barrie, and Lon Chaney Jr., and Lloyd Corrigan. BIG TOWN CZAR was reissued under the title FIGHTING THE RACKETEERS and EYES OF THE UNDERWORLD was reissued under the title CRIMINALS OF THE UNDERWORLD. BIG TOWN CZAR is a B gangster film with the sole distinction of having been written by Ed Sullivan, who at that time was a newspaper gossip columnist. EYES OF THE UNDERWORLD is a tale of blackmail and murder inside an auto-theft ring. This original half sheet re-release poster was never folded and is in very fine condition.
