Original 20th Century-Fox Insert Card (14x36), on linen, for the Michael Curtiz historical drama, THE EGYPTIAN (1954) starring Jean Simmons, Victor Mature, Gene Tierney, Michael Wilding, and Edmund Purdom. Set in 18th Dynasty Egypt, the story focuses on Sinuhe (Purdom), a poor orphan who becomes a brilliant physician and with his friend Horemheb (Mature) is appointed to the service of the new Pharaoh. At a cost of $5 million, the film took two years to research, the designers ultimately cataloging five million items of clothing and properties. This original insert was linen-backed.
