U.S. Half Sheet poster for George Stevens film of the story of Anne Frank. Fine plus condition, folded. One of the landmark films of the 1950s. This film, from the wonderful George Stevens came after GIANT and before THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD. Stevens worldview had been greatly shaped by his experiences as a soldier in World War II. He served in a military photographic unit and took film of much of the war. His unit was there when the concentration camps were liberated. Anne Frank, the young Jewish girl who was hidden in an attic with her family in Holland for much of the war only to be found just before the war's end and sent to the camps, wrote an amazing diary which became one of the most famous books of the 20th century. Stevens picked Millie Perkins to play Anne Frank and surrounded her with a great cast. This original U.S. half sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition. It is a theater used poster, and shows some general signs of wear. This poster is absolutely authentic; Movieart Austin will sell no reproductions.
