DCA Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the American release of the German War film DES TEUFELS GENERAL (1955). The movie was released in the United States in 1957 as THE DEVIL'S GENERAL. The movie was directed by Helmut Kautner and stars Curt Jurgens and Marianne Koch. It was based on a play by Carl Zuckmayer. The story involves a German General, opposed to Hitler. Based upon an actual person, General Ernst Udet, the story tells the story of the general and his eventual downfall to the Nazi juggernaut. Jurgens had a good career both in Europe and in the United States and in a few years after this would star opposite Ingrid Berman in the Fox film THE INN OF THE SIXTH HAPPINESS. This poster was used in a theater and we have graded it in very good plus condition.
