Original Paramount Pictures 70mm Exhibition Lobby Card Set (eight 11x14 cards) for the Terrence Malick romantic drama, DAYS OF HEAVEN (1978) starring Richard Gere, Brooke Adams, Sam Shepard, and Linda Manz. A hot-tempered farm laborer (Gere) and his lover (Adams) pretend to the world that they are brother and sister. When they go to work for a farmer (Shepard) in the Texas Panhandle, Gere convinces Adams to marry the rich and dying man so they can have a claim to his fortune. When the expected death does not come, jealously and impatience ultimately derail the plot. This beautiful and surreal film is a seamless mold of narrative and poetry. The film received four Academy Award nominations, and Nestor Almendros deservedly won the Oscar for Best Cinematography. Ennio Morricone's beautiful atmospheric score, which also received an Oscar nomination, perfectly complements the amazing visuals.
