MGM Original U.S. Three-Sheet Poster for the H.C. Potter directed comedy CONGO MAISIE (1940). The film stars Ann Sothern as the lovable character Maisie Ravier. This was the second in a series of films that Sothern made as Maisie, the first being the title film in 1939. This movie also stars John Carroll, Rita Johnson, Shepperd Strudwick, J.M. Kerrigan and Ernest Whitman. Maisie, the Brooklyn showgirl gets stranded in Africa, but with a romantic doctor at her side. This was one of two three sheets made for the film, and we think it is better of Ann Sothern than the other one. This poster was used in a theater. It is folded, and in need of restoration. We think linen-backing the poster would be a good idea. It has some tears and fold separations and signs of general age. We have priced it accordingly.
